Calling all future change-makers!

Join the Sunshine Coast Young Leaders Academy

If you’re between the ages of 16 and 24 and call the Sunshine Coast home, now is your chance to shine!

Expressions of interest are now open to join the Sunshine Coast Young Leaders Academy where you can be part of a one-stop-shop for developing your leadership skills and learning how to make a positive impact in your community.

Sunshine Coast Council Community Councillor David Law said the Sunshine Coast Young Leaders Academy was created to cultivate new leaders who were confident to roll-up their sleeves and get to work making our region an even better place to live.

“We’re on a mission to unleash a group of change-makers who not only get to know how Council works but are also eager to be active in their community,” Cr Law said.

“We are looking for passionate young people to join us for a year-long program starting in February 2024.

“We want young people who have already made a difference in their communities and are ready to take their leadership skills to the next level.

“The program is about working with our younger community and help provide them with the skills and tools to thrive and make meaningful change on the Sunshine Coast.”

If you’re up for the challenge, check out Council’s website for all the details on what the Sunshine Coast Young Leaders Academy is all about and submit an application.
